TCR Europe - Zolder

In the 2024 season, the TCR Europe series will run on six events between April and September.

The promoter Paulo Ferreira explained: “We decided to reduce the schedule from seven to six events and compact them over five months for two main reasons. The first one is to reduce the running costs and the second is to allow our competitors to make occasional appearances in other TCR events, such as the TCR World Ranking Final in Portimão or the FIA Motor Sport Games in Valencia.”

The series will kick off in Vallelunga and will then visit Zolder, Salzburgring and Spa-Francorchamps before the summer break. The season will be concluded by two events in September at Brno and Valencia; the latter representing a great opportunity of preparation in view of the FIA MSG that will take place four weeks after. In Spa, TCR Europe will race Saturday before the Funcup 25 hours.

The format remains the same, with two Free Practices of 30 minutes, the Qualifying session split in Q1 and Q2, and two 55-km Races with the grid of Race 2 based on the Qualifying results with the top-ten reversed.

Besides the overall titles for drivers, teams and manufacturers, three trophies will be awarded: the Rookie Trophy, the Diamond Trophy for drivers over 36 and the Gen-1 Trophy for the first-generation cars.
